Its that time of year again when the honey crop is harvested and bottled.
We can all agree is wasn’t the best summer in history but the good weather over April and June helped the bees build up their honey stores. Here at Oakmead Apiary we leave most of the stores for the bees to feed on over winter and top up with sugar solution or fondant.
During the season guests are invited to join in and have a beekeeping lesson.
Small amounts of honey are available for our guests to buy and some is sold by the Womens’ Institute on the South Molton market every Thursday and Saturday.
