Walk on the Wildside

Look out for Moorhen Chicks

Black balls of fluff aka Moorhen chicks are seen daily scooting across the grass from one sheltered lake area to another. Visitors can also experience the blue flash of the Kingfisher flying across the top lake and along the leat.  If you sit  and wait you can see two Kingfishers fishing around the top lake. House Martins can be heard chattering under the eaves of the house as they rear their young on the plentiful supply of insects.  Herons, Otters and Deer all seen this week. Its a wonderful time for wildlife watching.

Look out for Moorhen Chicks.  Thank Ray for the photo.
