A ‘not that’ Common Visitor to Oakmead

Over the last few weeks we have seen a new visitor to Oakmead. A short legged wader with green.brown plumage and contrasting white underparts. The bird has been bobbing up and down on the edges of the lakes and beds of pond weed floating on the deeper waters.  Its distinctive revealing striking white wing bars helped us identify A Common Sandpiper.
